ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Sealed bid proposal on forms prepared by Bohannan Huston, Inc., will be received by the Executive Engineer, Albuquerque Metropolitan Arroyo Flood Control Authority (AMAFCA), 2600 Prospect Avenue NE, Albuquerque, New Mexico, until 2:00 p.m. (local time) on Tuesday, February 17, 2009 and will be publicly opened and read aloud immediately thereafter for: Calabacillas Arroyo Grade Control Structure 7B, located within the Calabacillas Arroyo, west of Eagle Ranch Road. The Project includes installation of three concrete cut-off walls, grouted riprap and dumped riprap channel lining, related earthwork, and associated temporary diversion of water. The Engineer's Estimate for the project is approximately $383,000 (not including tax). The following conditions apply to prospective bidders: A.Bidders must possess appropriate contracting license (GF-98, GF-4 or other satisfactory classification as regulated by Construction Industries Division, 2550 Cerrillos Road, Santa Fe, NM 87505, Phone: (505) 476-4700). B.Bidders must complete and include the AMAFCA CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTION DISCLOSURE FORM with their bid. Plans, specifications, and other contract documents may be obtained at the offices of Bohannan Huston, Inc., 7500 Jefferson St. NE, Courtyard 1, Albuquerque, New Mexico. Document copies may be picked up beginning Monday, February 2, 2009 between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 P.M. (local time), weekdays. A $50.00 deposit is required. Checks shall be made out to Bohannan Huston, Inc. The deposit will be refunded provided the bid documents are returned to Bohannan Huston, Inc., in good condition, un-marked or un-written, within ten (10) calendar days after bid opening. Portions of the bidding documents may be purchased at the cost of administration and reproduction. There will be a Mandatory Pre-Bid Tour held at the project site at 9:00 a.m., on Friday, February 13, 2009, at the south eastern corner of the Costco Wholesale parking lot, on the northwest quadrant of the Calabacillas Arroyo and Eagle Ranch Rd. Each proposal shall be submitted in accordance with the Information for Bidders and shall be accompanied by an acceptable Proposal Guaranty in the form of a Bid Bond or Certified Check in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid amount, made payable to AMAFCA as a guaranty that, if the proposal is accepted, the bidder will execute the Contract and file acceptable Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds within seven (7) calendar days after award of the Contract. AMAFCA reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any informality or technicality in any proposal.
