U.S. Customs and Border Protection In accordance with 19USC1607 and 19CFR162, "Notice of Seizure and Intent to Forfeiture" is hereby given. The property(ies) described below were seized for violation of Federal laws on the date specified below within the El Paso Field Office area. Notice shall be published in a newspaper circulated in Albuquerque, New Mexico, for at least three successive weeks starting February 8, 2009 . Any person claiming ownership of seized property (prohibited items excluded) may request a judicial forfeiture proceeding by filing a claim. Claims may be filed not later then the deadline set forth in the personal notice of seizure. If that letter is not received, then a claim may be filed no later then 30 days after the date of the final publication of the notice of intent to forfeit (publication dates listed below). Such claim must be filed with the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, ATTN: Fines, Penalties and Forfeitures (FP&F) Officer, 3600 El Paisano, Building B, El Paso, Texas 79905. The claim must be made under penalty of perjury, and must identify the specific property being claimed, state the claimant's interest with supporting documentation, and state that the claim is not frivolous. The entire matter will then be referred to the U.S. Attorney for judicial proceedings in Federal Court. If a claim is not filed on or before the close of business on March 1, 2009, the listed property will be disposed of in accordance with law.
