NAVAJO HOUSING AUTHORITY IFB #143, INVITATION FOR BIDS The Navajo Housing Authority (NHA) (hereinafter called the "Owner") invites all Licensed General Contractors to bid construction of Ten (10) Housing Units and associated site and infrastructure work. The Scattered Sites are located at the following locations in District 5, Tuba City, Navajo Nation, AZ: Tuba City - 5 Units; LeChee - 1 Unit; Inscription House - 1 Unit; Navajo Mountain - 1 Unit; and Tonalea - 2 Units. The Owner will receive Sealed Bids until 11:00 AM, (MDST) on June 04, 2009 at the NHA Property and Supply Warehouse, N. Route 54 Old Coalmine Road, Ft. Defiance, AZ. Bids received after the specified date and time will be returned unopened. Bids will be opened and publicly read aloud immediately after the specified closing time. All Bidders are encouraged to attend the Pre-Bid Conference scheduled on May 26, 2009 at 1:00 PM MDST at the Tuba City NHA Housing Management Office Conference Room and site visitation on May 27, 2009. This invitation is not restricted however preference shall be given to Indian Organizations and Indian Owned Economic Enterprises. Bid award will be in accordance with 24 CFR 1000.48, 1000.50 & 1000.52. Firms wishing to qualify for Indian Preference must obtain pre-qualification packages from Linda Johnson, Contract Specialist at the NHA Purchasing Department, P.O. Box 1579, Fort Defiance, AZ 86504. Completed Indian Preference Pre-Qualification documents must be submitted to the NHA no later than 5:00 PM (MDST), on May 29, 2009. Contractors may obtain Bid Documents by depositing $100.00 (Check or Money Order) payable to the Navajo Housing Authority. Bid Documents may be obtained from NHA Purchasing Department at N. Route 54 Old Coalmine Road, Fort Defiance, AZ or by telephone (928) 729 6305/6371 or via email ljohnson@hooghan.org. Bid Documents are shipped via US Mail unless other arrangements are made with NHA Purchasing Department. Plan deposits will be refunded upon return of the complete set of documents and addenda, all in good condition, within fifteen (15) days after the Bid Opening. A certified check or bank draft payable to the Navajo Housing Authority, irrevocable letter of credit, U.S. Government Bonds, or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the bidder and acceptable sureties in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid shall be submitted with each bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and payment security in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, whether within the estimated total contract price or not, and to waive any informality in the Bids received whenever such rejection or waiver is in the best interest of the Owner. No Bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days subsequent to the Opening of Bids without the consent of the Owner. AMENDED NOTICE OF BOND SALE PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that electronic bids will be received by the Board of County Commissioners (the "Board") of Bernalillo County, New Mexico (the "County"), for the purchase of all of the County's General Obligation Bonds, Series 2009, in the aggregate principal amount of $10,000,000 (the "Bonds"). Bids for the purchase of the Bonds will be accepted through the Grant Street Group electronic bidding website ("Grant Street Group") at www.grantstreet.com. No other method of submitting bids will be accepted. The date and time for submitting bids will be June 9, 2009 between 8:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m., MDT.
