Request for Proposal The Pueblo of Zia, in Sandoval County, New Mexico has need for the services of an environmental professional to conduct an Environmental Site Assessment for future housing developments. Project Background 1.Project Location: The Pueblo of Zia is located in north central New Mexico, 30 miles Northwest of Albuquerque. The Pueblo resides on alluvial terraces associated with the Rio Grande River. The local terrain is moderately hilly, broken intermittently with arroyos and the Jemez River. Local vegetation consists of xeric grasses with scattered Juniper trees. The elevation is 5400 feet above sea level. 2.Project Description: The Project consists of the construction of one to ten units, 1200 to 1500 sq. ft. houses. The entire site to be developed may encompass 5 acres. 3.Purpose and Need: The Pueblo of Zia is seeking a report which will meet the need for Environmental Assessment under the Regulations of the Housing and Urban Development. The lump sum price should incorporate all research, field and office work necessary to complete this report. All proposals are due August 21, 2009.
