SECTION 00020 INVITATION TO BID Sealed proposals for construction of City of Clovis Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvements, will be received at Clovis City Hall (City of Clovis, Purchasing Department, Attention: David Boswell, 321 Connelly St., Clovis, NM 88101) until 2:00 P.M., local time, June 10, 2010, and at that time and place will be publicly opened and read aloud. The work under this contract shall be for furnishing all labor, materials, transportation and services for the construction and installation of the following work: Installation of additional headworks screens, aeration basin diffuser improvements, new aeration basin blowers in a new aeration basin blower building, Stamford baffle clarifier improvements, a new solids handling building housing new rotary drum thickeners and new belt filter presses, existing digester improvements, new digester blowers in a new digester blower building, a new plant water pump and piping system, disconnection and new connections of existing potable water system for new equipment and new plant water system, improvements related to and repair of existing electrical system, improvements related to and repair of existing instrumentation and control systems, and yard piping and all related appurtenances. Contract documents may be examined and obtained at the El Paso office of Camp Dresser & McKee Inc., at 4110 Rio Bravo Dr., Suite 201, El Paso, TX, 79902-1032 (915) 544-2340. A payment of $200 in cash or check payable to Camp Dresser & McKee Inc. will be required for each set of Contract Documents. This payment represents reproduction costs and is non-refundable. A nonrefundable $30.00 fee per set will be charged for 2-day delivery and a $75.00 fee per set for next day delivery carriers. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on May 7, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Clovis Public Works at 801 S. Norris St, Clovis, New Mexico 88101. Each Bid shall be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of five percent of the amount bid.
