PUBLIC NOTICE Air Quality Certificate of Registration and Authority-to-Construct Permit For Waycor Waycor has submitted an authority-to-construct air quality permit application to the Air Quality Division (Division) of the City of Albuquerque Environmental Health Department for a modification to their existing Authority-to-Construct Permit #0820-M1. The modification is to add a cement silo and replace their existing natural-gas fired boiler with a larger boiler. This facility is located at 4440 Tower Rd. SW in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The owner of this facility is Waycor, 4440 Tower Rd. SW, Albuquerque, NM 87121. This application file has been assigned Permit #0820-M2. The Waycor Tower Road facility is a ready-mix concrete batching facility. The proposed facility will consist of two (2) cement silos, one (1) flyash silo, one (1) boiler, one (1) bin, one (1) hopper, one (1) batcher and aggregate stockpiles. LEGAL NOTICE REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS The Albuquerque Metropolitan Arroyo Flood Control Authority (AMAFCA) seeks competitive sealed proposals for Professional Engineering Services for the project listed below. The complete Request for Proposals including the Scope of Services must be obtained from the AMAFCA office at 2600 Prospect NE, Albuquerque, NM 87107 in order to submit a proposal. AMAFCA's telephone number is 505-884-2215. Proposals shall be received in seven (7) copies no later than 2:00 pm, on Tuesday September 15, 2009, at the AMAFCA office. Proposals shall be limited to 8 pages, not including cover letter, table of contents, Campaign Contribution Disclosure Form, and covers. Proposals must include the mandatory AMAFCA CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTION DISCLOSURE FORM that is attached to and is made part of the Scope of Services. Failure to submit the form will be cause to reject the proposal. PROJECT NAME: Agency and Area-Wide Flood Control Maintenance Contract 2010-2011 PROJECT DESCRIPTION and SUMMARY SCOPE of SERVICES: This project consists of gathering field information from existing surface drainage structures that are maintained by AMAFCA, the City of Albuquerque (City) and the New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT). The Engineer will be directed by each agency to locate and quantify damaged concrete channel lining and damaged concrete joints. This information will be incorporated into biddable construction documents that will include plan sets, specifications and bid documents. The Engineer will provide part time inspection of construction, including contract administration and geotechnical testing. It is anticipated that this project will be in design beginning in November 2009 and the project will bid in February 2010, with high priority maintenance done as soon as possible, with normal routine maintenance done in the Fall/Winter of 2010-2011. The construction contract will remain open through September 2011, to cover additional maintenance identified and funded by the agencies, as well as to cover any emergency repairs needed during the 2010 and 2011 flood seasons.
