RFP # 09-0003 Disability Determination Unit Medical Consultant Services The Division of Vocational Rehabilitation is soliciting proposals from individuals interested in providing Medical Consultative Services for DVR s Disability Determination Services Unit. The Disability Determination Services (DDS) is an agency which administers the disability program in New Mexico for the Commissioner of the Social Security Administration (SSA) in compliance with Public Law 96-265, the Social Security Disability Amendments of 1984. The DDS makes disability decisions on all claimants applying for benefits under the SSA Disability Program. SSA requires that the majority of disability decisions be reviewed and signed by both an experienced Disability Adjudicator and by a licensed physician/psychologist. DDS will contract with a sufficient number of licensed physicians to meet this requirement. The contracts issued under this RFP will be for the purpose of providing training in the Disability Determination Services adjudication process. Contractors successfully completing the six-month training may be offered a multiyear contract. Respondents must be licensed to practice Medicine/Psychology in the State of New Mexico. REQUEST FOR BIDS The Taos Pueblo (herein called the Owner) will receive bids for the construction of a Senior Center until twelve o'clock p.m. (12:00 pm (noon)) on the 9th day of April, 2009, at the office of Steven Robinson Architects, 322 Read St. Santa Fe NM 87501. Description of work: A new, pumice-crete, adobe-style building approximately 4,400 gross square fee, housing facilities for food service, exercise, arts and crafts, and auxiliary uses. The site of the building is located adjacent to the existing Senior Center.
