UNSER CHILDREN'S DISCOVERY CENTER, INC. REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS NEW MEXICO CHALLENGER LEARNING CENTER RFP NO. 2009-001 The Unser Children's Discovery Center, Inc. is currently requesting sealed bids from prospective bidders for the construction of an addition of 20,000 s.f. and remodel of the existing Building 3 at the Unser Discovery Campus located at 1776 Montano NW, Los Ranchos, NM. This project includes steel framing with steel joists and concrete slab with spread footings which are the main structural systems. The scope of work will include minor demolition of the existing office building, new construction on the 20,000 s.f. addition for the New Mexico Challenger Center and associated site work including drainage inlets and piping at the existing parking areas and construction of a retention pond at the south portion of the property. The scope of work also includes the installation of ground mounted mechanical units, lighting fixtures and fire sprinkler system. The roof is a membrane roof. All exterior walls will be insulated with punched windows. The construction budget is approximately $1,800,000.00.
