New Mexico Environment Department Ground Water Quality Bureau Notice is hereby given pursuant to 20.6.2.3108.G NMAC, the following Groundwater Discharge Permit application has been proposed for approval. Draft permits may also be viewed on-line at https://www.env.nm.gov/gwb/NMED-GWQB-PublicNotice.htm DP-1378; Andrew Scott, Owner of Ojo Caliente Mineral Springs, proposes to renew the Discharge Permit (DP-1378) for the discharge of up to 30,000 gallons per day of treated domestic wastewater from a mechanical package treatment plant to a leachfield. Wastewater from RVs shall be discharged to holding tanks, pumped, and disposed of offsite in accordance with all local, state, and federal regulations. Potential contaminants associated with this type of discharge include nitrogen compounds. The facility is located at 50 Los Banos Drive, Ojo Caliente, in Section 24 (projected), T24N, R08E, in the Ojo Caliente Land Grant, Taos County. Groundwater beneath the site is at a depth of approximately four feet and has a total dissolved solids concentration of approximately 1700 milligrams per liter. Request for Proposals (RFP) The Pueblo of Santa Ana is soliciting environmental remediation firms for contractual work completing the surface clearance of a formerly used defense site on Pueblo lands. The project is managed through a cooperative agreement between the U.S. Department of Defense and the Pueblo of Santa Ana under the Native American Lands Environmental Mitigation Program (NALEMP). The scope of work includes removal and safe disposal of munitions debris and munitions of explosive concern at one WW2-era practice bombing range as well as related archeological surveying.
