Legal Notice Request for Proposal Notice is hereby given that the Valencia Soil & Water Conservation District (VSWCD) calls for a request for proposal (RFP) for professional services to prepare a management plan (MP) for the Rio Abajo Conservation Area (RACA) in Belen, New Mexico. The scope of services shall result in deliverables including an MP outline and final MP. The anticipated project period is from May 30th, 2011 to August 31st, 2011. Interested parties may secure a copy of the proposal packet by written request or pick-up from the Project Administrator, Madeline Miller at the VSWCD Office 2600 Palmilla Rd. Suite B, Los Lunas, NM 87031. The offeror's proposal must be received by the VSWCD COR in a sealed envelope no later than 4:00 p.m. on May 20th, 2011, whether hand delivered or mailed to the above noted address. REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS The Mescalero Apache Housing Authority ("MAHA"), a Tribally Designated Housing Entity is requesting proposals for qualified Information Technology(IT) services. The work to be performed under the proposal is on a project subject to section 7(b) of the Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act (25 U.S.C. 450e(b)) and section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968. Section 7(b) requires that to the greatest extent feasible (1) preference and opportunities for training and employment shall be given to Indians, and (2) preferences in the awarding of contracts and subcontracts shall be given to Indian organizations and Indian-owned Economic Enterprises. All firms submitting proposals and claiming Indian Preference must include documentation satisfactory to show that they are Indian-owned.
