NOTICE OF WORK-STUDY SESSION NOTICE OF CLOSED MEETING Notice is hereby given that the Governing Board of Central New Mexico Community College will hold a work-study session on August 4, 2014, beginning at 5 p.m. in the LSA Building - Room 213 at the Main Campus, 525 Buena Vista SE, Albuquerque, New Mexico. At the start of the work-study session, the Board will hold a closed session to discuss collective bargaining and personnel matters. The collective bargaining matter is closed pursuant to Section 10-15-1 (H)(5) and 10-15-1 (I)(2); and the personnel matter is closed pursuant to Section 10-15-1 (H)(2) and 10-15-1 (I)(2) New Mexico Statutes Annotated 1978 (2005 Cum. Public Notice The New Mexico Environment Department (Department) has received an application for a radioactive material license from REFGEN for storage of radioactive materials at 134 East Gate Drive, Los Alamos, NM 87544. During the early part of the evaluation period, the Department will review and comment upon the application. The Department may, at its discretion, retain consultants to assist in its evaluation of the application. Relevant comments and questions received by the Department from various agencies and interested parties will be forwarded to the applicant for response. Correspondence associated with the application will be on file with the Radiation Control Bureau and will be available for inspection by the applicant and any other interested parties. The Department has required the company to provide complete plans and other materials concerning, among other things, the public health, safety and environmental aspects of the proposed facility. The Department will analyze the license application carefully. During this analysis, the application will be reviewed to ensure that there are no deficiencies, that the application meets all applicable requirements and that there is no reason to believe that the operation will violate any laws or regulations. If the Department is so satisfied, it will issue a renewable Radioactive Material License to expire in five years. The activities of all licensees are inspected periodically to assure compliance with regulations and license conditions. Notice of Medical Cannabis Advisory Board Public Meeting The New Mexico Department of Health will hold a Medical Cannabis Advisory Board meeting to review recommendations to regulation changes for the Medical Cannabis Program. The meeting will be held on Monday, August 25, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Harold Runnels Building Auditorium, located at 1190 St. Francis Drive, Santa Fe, New Mexico. The complete agenda will be available 72 hours prior to the meeting. NOTICE Public Education Department Office of General Counsel Request for Proposal (RFP) Number: 15-92400-00004 Title: Professional Legal Services The New Mexico Public Education Department (NMPED) is accepting competitive sealed proposals to provide legal services. The purpose of the RFP is to solicit sealed proposals to establish a contract through competitive negotiations for the procurement of professional legal services to respond to against the NMPED's interpretation of Maintenance of Effort financing. Attorneys and law firms submitting proposals must have extensive experience in Maintenance of Effort litigation and a demonstrated ability and capacity to handle complex cases with extensive written and expert discovery, as well as experience defend a state agency against a Maintenance of Effort dispute with the federal government. Proposals must be received no later than 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 5, 2014. All costs and expenses of responding to the RFP are at the attorney and law firms' expense. The NMPED reserves the right to modify any part of the RFP prior to the submission deadline, to accept or reject any and all proposals and to negotiate the terms of any contract that may be a result of this RFP.
